The Hualapai Reservation which consists of nearly 1 million acres of Ponderosa Forests, High Desert and Canyon Lands around the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. The Hualapai Department of Natural Resources serves as the primary authority over all Natural Resources of the Hualapai Tribe, and monitors the health of the environment and the natural resources from an active management perspective on the Hualapai Reservation. Our mission is to conserve, protect and enhance the natural resources of the Hualapai Reservation while providing for multiple consumptive and non-consumptive uses, and ensuring the overall goal of long-term sustainable and balanced multiple uses of natural resources under the direction of the Hualapai Tribal Council.
